Dear Self,
You know how we used to think at that age (under 20) that we were invincible and could take on the world? And there was also that part about we could be anything we wanted right out of high school?
Yeah well, reality check is in. We were not invincible. In fact we were down right vulnarable to everything that has happened. Not to say we didn't learn anything along the way, but I must say we had it right when we decided 11th grade that being a cynic was in. Yeah crap happens and we dealt with it the best we could but as a whole, things could have been worse but I imagine now that they are getting better.
Remember how we wanted to move out on graduation? And it took us forever to get a job and that said job didn't pay enough to move out? Well, now I have a job that is enabling me to do so. It just took me almost 7 more years to do so. But for my age group that is amazing by itself. With the way the economy is going and everything I hadn't thought I would be able to do this and would have had to stay home indefinately. But now, things are definately looking up and I have much to be grateful for.
